Title must have the person's Moniker and "Wish List"
For Example: Lady Dragon's Wish List

Why? Because the bulk of the Menyons only know one another by their monikers and not their real names ( not everyone. I am aware that some of us know others real names too). This makes it easy for the Menyon Secret Santa to find their name's wish list.


The Body -- This is where people put down what they want or things they are interested in. Please make certain to put down favorite colors, favorite scents, shirt sizes, food allergies.

The reason behind the food allergies is Gincere, who's name she receives is going to receive bake goods aka cookies. Speaking as a person who has tried her cookies, they are delicious and yummy. I thought by asking people to include food allergies, it does not give away whom Gincere received.

You can decorate your post however you like. If people have seen the blog, they would notice Lady Dragon's Wish List is already up, and I decorated the post by included a dragon. This is not a necessity but up to the individual. I thought I would just state that here.

Examples of what to put down: Say that you collect dragons, you can put "Dragons". You collect rooster things, just put rooster things. Person can be surprised what their menyon secret santa can find for them. Gift cards to Borders, Bath & Body Works, etc.

Last year we had people order items on-line and have it shipped to their Menyon Secret Santa. That is a go again this year. It does make it easier for the individual, knowing that it will be shipped to the intended without hunting for a box and paying an additional shipping and handling.

Good evening, Menyons. This little newsletter shall be short!

Anime and Raonaid have discussed and decided it was alright for those who signed up for this year’s Menyon Secret Santa to go ahead and post their wish-lists now on the blog than wait until October.

The decision is totally up to the individuals. Remember, you can always update and revise the list you have posted as we go along. Please refrain from changing others’ wish lists.

Last year it was all in fun. We just do not want to upset anyone. Also, for those not comfortable or blog-savvy, you are always free to ask Anime or Raonaid to post your wish lists up for you (IM, email, contact via face book and those with our numbers can text Rao ).

Good news is we have thirteen confirmations and four maybes.

Face-book and Question

Good late-afternoon or pre-evening.

I do apologize for sending another newsletter out soon after the first. For anyone not interested in receiving any more newsletters (those who are not interested in the Menyon Secret Santa) please respond to this email with “Not interested” or “Please remove my name”.

Which leads me to a question.. Since there are some people who are not blog savy or those just not comfortable in using the blog, would it be easier to use both the facebook group and blog to post your wish lists?

In the Discussion Board tab, I have started two topics: Wish Lists, where Menyons can write down their wish lists.. Another topic is questions. Questions that you really don’t mind being read by all who signed up for this year’s Secret Santa fun. Any other topics are allowed dealing with the Menyon Secret Santa.

First, I would like opinions and feelings from others concerning the facebook direction. Anime and Raonaid would like to make this easy and fun on all who join, so please do not hesitate in asking us questions.

If you do not feel comfortable in asking your questions on facebook for others to read, you are free to email (if you need our emails please ask), IM, or message us on facebook.

However, we do suggest questions concerning the name you are given to be messaged or IM to Anime and Raonaid, not on the facebook page. Part of the fun is in the surprise on who received our name.

So far we have eight confirmations, and four maybes.

2010's Sign Up and Rule Changes

Summer is waning, Fall is knocking on the door, and the kidlets are either back in school or about too. Which means it is that time of year to start sign ups for 2010’s Menyon Secret Santa.

Sign-ups start from now till September 30th (Which is a Thursday). Names should be assigned and emailed to their Secret Menyon by Monday, October 4, 2010. You can either respond to this email with your name and address, IM, or even face book. Please make certain to include your address.

Anime has stepped forward to handle the names this year. Raonaid has offered to help with the email and the blog. So, if any have questions, please do not hesitate to email menyonsecretsanta@gmail.com .

Slight changes to the rules. Those who failed to mail their Secret Menyon last year are prohibited to join this year. Last year we had two people who did not receive anything from their Secret Santa. Keeshe, Raonaid, and Anime graciously worked together to correct that slight.

We did have a request, that Secret Santa gifts should not be mailed too early, that they should not be mailed any sooner than Mid-November. I really do hope this does not pose too much of a problem for anyone.

As for the rest of the rules. They still apply. Gifts should be sent no later than the second week of December. If there is a reason or circumstance that one has to send the gift early or late, please alert either Anime or Raonaid.

October 1st, please visit http://menyonsecretsanta.blogspot.com/ (the password is Darkhunters1) to begin to put up your wish list. Again, for those who are not blog-savy, please email either Anime or Raonaid. They will make certain to post your wish list for you. Same as last year, put in the subject line “Your online moniker here Wish List”

Wish Lists, please include favorite colors, scents, food allergies if there is some, shirt sizes. Well you all know the drill from last year.

Gifts - the maximum is twenty dollars. Please try pretty much to keep it around or close to that amount is possible.

Please, if it is possible, let Anime or Raonaid know when your gift arrived. Also, if you could please take pictures and post them on the blog to show the rest who joined.
